As a role model for women in STEM, what encouragement or advice would you give other women who are still establishing themselves?
I like to refer to this quote from ‘A Mind of Her Own’ by Paula McLain, which portrays a professor advising his then student (Marie Currie): “Don’t trust what I tell you or what anyone tells you. Dig through the quarry yourself and keep the stones that will build the house that most suits you or build no house at all and make wings to touch the sky.”

Women in STEM navigate an exciting field and it helps to always be avid for knowledge, open-minded and respectful.

What excites you most about your work at Teledyne?
The friendly environment which I believe fosters collaboration and ownership. This helps us focus on shared values in the way we approach our work.

Looking back, what career advice would you give yourself from your early days in college or your first job from your current perspective?
Be less reserved in tackling challenging areas while staying resilient and committed.
