Morgan
Director of Strategic Nuclear Programs
Teledyne Brown Engineering
As a role model for women in STEM, what encouragement or advice would you give other women who are still establishing themselves?
There are two things I’ve found to be most important. The first
is confidence. If you don’t believe in yourself, no one else will
either. The second is connections. Build relationships of trust
and make true connections with your peers, coworkers,
customers, and others in the industry.
What excites you most about your work at Teledyne?
The people and the purpose. I am grateful that I get to work
with such a diverse team of skilled individuals who challenge
me, push me, and support me in my career. The variety of
projects I get to be a part of at any given time, from nuclear
energy to national security, not only makes work exciting but
also provides a real sense of purpose.
Looking back, what career advice would you give yourself
from your early days in college or your first job from your
current perspective?
If I could go back and give myself advice, it would be to save
all big decisions for the next morning. When in doubt, sleep on
it.
