Mr. Connell is Senior Vice President of Human Resources and Associate General Counsel for Teledyne Technologies Incorporated (Teledyne), as well as General Counsel of the Engineered Systems Segment. Previously, he was Vice President of Human Resources at Teledyne and Associate General Counsel for the company from December 2016 to February 2025. Mr. Connell joined Teledyne Brown Engineering, Inc., a subsidiary of Teledyne, in 2011 as a member of the leadership team and served as General Counsel for Teledyne Brown and Senior Corporate Counsel for Teledyne from 2012 to 2016. In this role, he provided legal guidance to the companies in Teledyne Technologies' Engineered Systems Segment across various areas of law, including employment matters, litigation, government and commercial contracts, real property, government compliance matters, and intellectual property.

Mr. Connell has experience in both private and corporate legal practice. Before joining Teledyne Brown, he served as counsel for Intergraph Corporation's Process, Power, and Marine Division, where he handled contractual and legal negotiations on software licensing, acquisitions, internal procedure development, and other legal compliance matters. Prior to his tenure at Intergraph, Mr. Connell practiced law privately with Dentons Sirote (formerly known as Sirote & Permutt, P.C.), focusing on civil litigation matters.

Mr. Connell earned his bachelor's and law degrees from the University of Alabama and was a Senior Editor of the Alabama Law Review. He is a member of the Alabama State Bar and a past president of the North Alabama Chapter of the Federal Bar Association.​
