As a role model for women in STEM, what encouragement or advice would you give other women who are still establishing themselves?
Your strengths may not be the same as others, and that in
itself is a strength. Learn to utilize your resources and be
confident that you are also a resource to others. This approach
will facilitate effective teams and technical growth for all.
What excites you most about your work at Teledyne?
In my opinion, Teledyne’s greatest asset is its people, and I get
to work with an incredible team that collaborates very well,
which results in both team and individual success. Meaningful
friendships are often a byproduct of the working relationships
that we establish here.
Looking back, what career advice would you give yourself
from your early days in college or your first job from your
current perspective?
Do not let a fear of making mistakes hinder you from making
progress. There is so much knowledge to be gained from trial
and error, and then when you find resolution in those errors
and solve the problem at hand, the reward of accomplishment
is so much sweeter.
