Tell us a little about your current role and what you enjoy most about it?
I wear two hats at my job currently. As the Engineering Technician Manager, I lead a team that assists in our development and process improvement project goals. In addition, as a Process Engineering Lead for deposition and etching module in wafer processing, I am directly contributing to the science and efficiency initiatives in my area to meet the same goals. I love the dynamic challenges we face everyday as we push the limits of our infrared technology. Every day is another exciting adventure, thanks to my excellent team, wonderful peers and highly supportive upper management.
Who is the most influential/empowering woman you know? How does she inspire you?
My biggest role model is my mother who has now retired as the Dean of a Nursing College in India. She inculcated in me the importance of pursuing your passion as your career. She was also highly supportive of me wanting to pursue my higher education abroad far away from home. This ultimately led me to earn my PhD in Mechanical Engineering and pursue my wonderful career with Teledyne FLIR.
