Tell us a little about your current role and what you enjoy most about it?
As VP of Finance for Teledyne FLIR Components, I lead the Finance team and manage the financial activities to maximize the division’s profits and growth. My role includes analyzing data and advising top executives on how to use the information to make strategic decisions. My favorite parts of the job are the interactions and collaboration with other executives, employees, departments and division personnel to drive results and teamwork.
Who is someone that empowered you in your youth? How did they empower you?
My High School Basketball Coach made a lasting impression on my life. His words resonate with me to this day. Everyone makes mistakes, it is how you process and respond to the situation. Throughout your life, you will have failures and successes, losses and wins, mistakes and triumphs, it is how you as an individual respond that defines you as a person and a leader. The choice is yours. Be the person that rises above, perseveres and wins. Prove to everyone that you are a winner.
