Who or what inspired you to become an inventor?
At the Goleta site, our company founders (before acquisition by FLIR Systems and then Teledyne) , Bill Parrish and Jeff Frank were instrumental in creating a culture of innovation. Bill was constantly innovating at the readout integrated circuit (ROIC) level and was instrumental in Indigo Systems producing the world’s first TEC-less microbolometer camera. Jeff created an innovation center on site and was regularly finding new markets for infrared technology. That environment set the stage for me and others to invent innovative products and technology.
