Who or what inspired you to become an inventor?
I have always felt compelled to build new things and improve them in different ways; so one could say inventing is in my DNA. As a child, I found it more fun to invent new toys than actually playing with the existing ones. In my job, I am inspired to look for ways to make our products better for our customers, whether it's an invention that makes our products more accessible by lowering costs or a new feature that makes our customer more efficient. At Teledyne FLIR, I feel privileged to work at a company where many of my ideas have materialized into products that have benefitted hundreds of thousand of users.
