Stephen F. Blackwood is Teledyne’s global Chief Financial Officer leading all global finance functions across Teledyne.
Prior to becoming Teledyne’s Chief Financial Officer, Mr. Blackwood was Teledyne’s Senior Vice President, Strategic Sourcing, Tax and Treasurer. This included responsibility for all financing activities to support Teledyne’s capital requirements as well as managing the company’s relationships with external capital providers. In addition, Mr. Blackwood was instrumental in the creation of the 80/20 program at Teledyne in 2018, designed to increase margins across the Teledyne companies. Mr. Blackwood was Chairman of the Teledyne Enterprise Risk Management Committee as part of his prior position.
Mr. Blackwood joined Teledyne in 2008. Since that time, Teledyne has completed over $6 billion in debt financings to support the company’s acquisition and growth strategies as well as diversify funding sources.
Before joining Teledyne, Mr. Blackwood held senior treasury & finance roles with companies in the biotechnology industry including Amgen, Inc. as well as Pacific Energy Partners, a private equity portfolio company until its sale in 2006. Mr. Blackwood has completed over $12 billion in financings over his career comprised of various forms of capital.
Mr. Blackwood holds an MBA degree from the Else School of Management at Millsaps College and attended the Stanford Graduate School of Business Executive Education as well as the Stanford Director’s College. He is a member of the National Association of Corporate Treasurers and the Financial Executives Institute.
