HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (January 17, 2008) — Teledyne Brown Engineering, Inc. (TBE) today announced that its subsidiary, Teledyne Brown CollaborX Inc., under a contract with L-3 Communications Government Services, Inc., has been awarded an estimated $8.6 million Academic, Training and Exercise Contract Support (ATECS) contract for the U.S. Air Force.

Under the contract, Teledyne Brown CollaborX (TBC) will provide support and services to the 505th Command and Control Wing (CCW) at Hurlburt Field, FL, the Air Force center of excellence for operational level warfare training.

TBC will supply instructors to work side-by-side with the military in operational level exercises, formal academic training, warfighter training events and support to wing authorized tours.

“This contract significantly expands Teledyne Brown CollaborX’s core competencies in the areas of training, command and control,” said Rex D. Geveden, president, Teledyne Brown. “The company is widely recognized as a world class provider of these services. With the addition of training and curriculum development experts, TBC will be better positioned for future growth in the targeted areas of homeland security, cyber operations and information operations.”

TBC has a strong history in the area of command and control for the Air Force at the Global Cyber Integration Center at Langley AFB, VA, at the Missile Defense Agency in the Colorado Springs, CO area, and at US Joint Forces Command through the Collaborative Information Environment Management Office.
