Teledyne Brown Provides Anti-Terrorism Training for Over 1 Million
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (August 9, 2006) - Teledyne Brown Engineering, Inc. (TBE) announced today that the company has trained more than one million members of the armed forces and civilians on its online Antiterrorism (AT) Level I Training program.
Teledyne Brown, with its subcontracting team of Williamson Research & Solutions and PowerTrain, Inc., is responsible for content development, user helpdesk support, and assisting the government with site maintenance. The training is sponsored by the Joint Staff, Deputy Directorate for Antiterrorism / Force Protection (J-34). It allows users to quickly and efficiently complete DoD's annual AT awareness training requirement.
"It is critical that our service men and women's awareness be heightened about terrorist tactics, techniques and procedures," said Jim Link, president, Teledyne Brown Engineering. "Teledyne Brown is pleased to play a role in facilitating this very important training."
During the training, users are provided with an introduction to terrorism and a scenario in which they select responses to threatening situations. To enhance learning, the application's scenarios adapt difficulty to the user's right and wrong choices. The training also provides several historical case studies to illustrate teaching points and links to DoD and non-DoD sources of terrorism information. Once completed, users receive a certificate to verify training completion.
