John T. Kuelbs

John
T. Kuelbs serves Teledyne Technologies as Executive Vice President, General
Counsel and Secretary of the Board of Directors.
Before joining Teledyne Technologies, Mr. Kuelbs was Senior Vice
President-Acquisition Policy for Raytheon Company, having previously served as
its Senior Vice President-Legal. Prior to Raytheon’s acquisition of the
aerospace and defense operation of Hughes Electronics Corporation, Mr. Kuelbs served as Senior
Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of the then $7 billion Hughes
Aircraft Company, and was a member of the Policy Board of the parent company,
Hughes Electronics. Prior to his work at Hughes, Mr. Kuelbs worked for Ford
Aerospace & Communications Company as Senior Counsel-Aeronautic Division and as
Team Chief and Trial Attorney for the Office of the Army, Chief Trial Attorney’s
Office.
Mr. Kuelbs holds a Bachelor of
Science degree from St. John’s University, Collegeville, MN and earned his law
degree from Creighton University, Omaha, NE. Mr. Kuelbs was a highly decorated
infantry officer as a member of the U.S. Army Special Forces in Southeast Asia.
He was awarded a Silver Star, four Bronze Stars, the Legion of Merit, two Purple
Hearts, and the Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry. He is a Colonel (Ret.) in the
U.S. Army Reserves and is an Honorary Member, Staff & Faculty, of the Army Judge
Advocate General’s School at the University of Virginia Law School.
