John T. Kuelbs serves Teledyne Technologies as Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of the Board of Directors.

Before joining Teledyne Technologies, Mr. Kuelbs was Senior Vice President-Acquisition Policy for Raytheon Company, having previously served as its Senior Vice President-Legal.  Prior to Raytheon’s acquisition of the aerospace and defense operation of Hughes Electronics Corporation, Mr. Kuelbs served as Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of the then $7 billion Hughes Aircraft Company, and was a member of the Policy Board of the parent company, Hughes Electronics.  Prior to his work at Hughes, Mr. Kuelbs worked for Ford Aerospace & Communications Company as Senior Counsel-Aeronautic Division and as Team Chief and Trial Attorney for the Office of the Army, Chief Trial Attorney’s Office.

Mr. Kuelbs holds a Bachelor of Science degree from St. John’s University, Collegeville, MN and earned his law degree from Creighton University, Omaha, NE.  Mr. Kuelbs was a highly decorated infantry officer as a member of the U.S. Army Special Forces in Southeast Asia.  He was awarded a Silver Star, four Bronze Stars, the Legion of Merit, two Purple Hearts, and the Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry.  He is a Colonel (Ret.) in the U.S. Army Reserves and is an Honorary Member, Staff & Faculty, of the Army Judge Advocate General’s School at the University of Virginia Law School.
