George C. Bobb III is Vice President – Contracts, Information Technology and Selected Operations of Teledyne Technologies Incorporated. Mr. Bobb also serves as Deputy General Counsel for Litigation. Teledyne Technologies is a leading provider of sophisticated instrumentation, digital imaging products and software, aerospace and defense electronics, and engineered systems.
Prior to being named Vice President – Contracts, Information Technology and Selected Operations, Mr. Bobb served as the Chief Compliance Officer, Vice President – Information Technology, and Deputy General Counsel for Litigation. Prior to that, he served as Associate General Counsel of Teledyne Technologies and General Counsel of two of Teledyne's four business segments. Prior to joining Teledyne, Mr. Bobb was the Deputy Chief of Staff of the National Security Division of the United States Department of Justice. During his tenure at the Department of Justice, he also served as Counsel for National Security Law and Policy. Before joining the Department of Justice, Mr. Bobb was an associate in a law firm in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Mr. Bobb holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the United States Coast Guard Academy and earned his law degree at the Yale Law School. As an active duty Coast Guard officer, he served as a Boarding Officer and Deck Watch Officer on the United States Coast Guard Cutter Vigilant, and then as Commanding Officer of the United States Coast Guard Cutter Marlin. Mr. Bobb subsequently served as a liaison for the Coast Guard to the United States House of Representatives.
Mr. Bobb is the recipient of the United States Attorney General's Award for Excellence in Furthering the Interests of U.S. National Security, the Coast Guard Achievement Medal and the Coast Guard Commendation Medal.
